In a time of global anxiety, terrorism, unsettled weather and uncertain political times, a young couple want a baby. If they think too hard, they never will. But if they rush into it, it can be a disaster.

I could fly to New York and back every day for seven years and still not leave as big a carbon footprint as having a baby. 10,000 tons of CO2. The weight of the Eiffel Tower. It's like giving birth to the Eiffel Tower.
