Allegory show Bestiar follows four sacrificial animals as they step out of the safe space of the herd where they were born to look beyond the fence. They fight to break the stereotypes associated with their breeds and fulfill their dreams.
The show emphasizes the importance of diversity and individuality in a social environment that seeks physical uniformity in the quest for recognition and appreciation. Who are you? Where do you belong when you are different? Which herd can you relate to? Without the support of a group, without belonging, you run the risk of getting lost or being eaten.
The show Bestiar explores the depths of the search for self and authenticity in the face of conformity and societal expectations.
„Bestiary” is a show with freshness, which twists a familiar story into a new language without trying to prove at all costs that it is original. There's a lot of decency and thoughtfulness, attention to detail and meaningful creativity in this endeavor that puts a different kind of mirror on stage. In the end you wonder what kind of animal you might be yourself, what dreams are worth pursuing and how big the wide world really is?
The show „Bestiar” translates the human into the animal kingdom by cleverly making use of the Romanian reality, forced to keep up with the order and ambitions of the world, often escaping into the imaginary (and from there the other way around!) in order to make it digestible to the modesty of a 21st century urban generation in a pressure cooker, for which the sensitive topics it touches on no longer hesitate to be politically correct in order not to bring, God forbid! any offense (racial, linguistic, sexual, occupational, etc.) to any segment of the public that might feel offended. So he proceeds to fabulo-parable.
